What is the difference between synchronous and asynchronous full-color LED display control cards?
There are two types of led display control cards in the market to drive full color led screens: synchronous and asynchronous control cards.
Synchronous full-color LED display control card.
It is mainly used for the real-time display of videos, graphics, and notifications, it can be used in indoor or outdoor full-color large-screen. The synchronization control system controls show the screen working basically the same as a computer monitor. It maps the image on the computer monitor in real-time with an update rate of at least 60 frames per second. It usually has the ability to display multi-gray colors. It can achieve the effect of multimedia advertising.

Asynchronous full-color LED display control card.
It is also called display offline control system or offline card. Mainly used to display various text, symbols, and graphics or animation. The information of the screen is edited by the computer, pre-installed into the frame memory of the display screen via the RS232/485 serial port, and then displayed and played screen by screen, cyclically, the display mode is colorful and varied. The screen simple asynchronous control system can only display digital clocks, text, and special characters. In addition to the functions of a simple control system, the display graphic asynchronous control system has the biggest feature that it can control the display content in different areas. Support analog clock display, countdown, picture, table and animation display. It has the functions of timing switch, temperature control, humidity control, etc. But this kind of display has a drawback, that is, if the computer is turned off, the LED display will not display any content, so the playing time will be limited. Of course, if the computer works 24 hours a day, then the screen will work 24 hours a day without any problems.

The main features of the display synchronization control card are real-time, rich expressiveness, complicated operation and high price.
The main characteristics of the asynchronous control card for the display screen are simple operation, low price and wide range of use.

The sending card is to display the content to be displayed on the VGA monitor according to the specific format and certain broadcast order required by the LED display; on the other hand, the picture displayed on the VGA monitor is sent to the control board through the capture card. It is an interface card between the display card and the LED screen. The receiving card receives the video signal (control signal and data signal) transmitted by the sending card, separates the data in the video signal through bit planes, stores it in an external buffer, and then read it out and transmits it to the display drive screen.
It is characterized by simple operation and wide range of use. It can control the display content in different areas. Even if the computer is turned off, the LED display can still display the content normally, but there will be certain restrictions on the amount of playback information, so it is not suitable for applications with high real-time requirements.
The composition of the asynchronous control card.
It is to store the edited display data of the computer in the display control system in advance, and the normal display of the led screen will not be affected after the computer is turned off. Simply put, it is to use a control card, computer editing content, or U disk to put the content in the control card, and then there is only one control card to control the screen without computer control.
Which LED screens are suitable for synchronous and asynchronous control systems?
The answer is:
synchronous control system with the computer system has better performance and is suitable for applications with high requirements for fixed installation and display effect. It supports live video and real-time synchronized network video, etc., with a large load range, suitable for large and medium-sized LED displays. The asynchronous control system integrates multiple functions such as program reception, storage, and compilation, making the application more flexible. However, the load range is small and the storage space is limited, and it is generally suitable for scenarios that do not require long-term replacement of playback content. such as the fields of stage rental, concerts, live broadcasts, evening parties, schools, stations, shopping malls, banks and hospitals, and places with rich and real-time performance on the screen.
The asynchronous control system is suitable for application places such as regional advertising, fixed-point publishing tasks, traffic guidance screens, LED advertising machines and LED light pole screens.
